  1. First podcast I've ever heard & I listened to the entire episode. Loved it!
Jolyn - Dmitri sounds like a misogynistic ass, but then I am a 64 year old LDS granny who lives on the edge of the Mohave desert, so we probably have different tastes.
After podcast, I watched some of Eli's YouTubes and laughed til I cried over Guatemala - KUDOS

  2. For the record this podcast does nothing to encourage me to join the "Kindling" as my 93 year old father refers to it. But I'm sure glad other people do it and then share their stories to keep us entertained.

  4. Just listened to your Podcast - there were moments I laughed out loud at my desk. You mentioned Prince Edward Island and I almost lost it, that is actually where I live, and I never hear it mentioned on anything before. Can't wait until you post your next one!

What Podcasts do you listen to?

    Thanks!

    1. Mostly we just listen to Strangerville over and over and over and over because we are super attracted to our own voices. Sometimes Meg plays Strangerville at half speed just so it lasts longer (and so we sound sexier, if that's even possible).

But occasionally I listen to my next favorite podcast, Reply All. I'm also a regular listener of This American Life, More Perfect, RadioLab, and The Moth.

  9. Good gravy. I love love love the blog and the podcast, but maybe you could do some type of trigger warning if the podcasts are going to be tear jerkers? I've been a reader since Palau but just recently started listening. "Strangerville, Voicemails" just wrecked me at my desk.

  10. I really liked listening to all of the stories from different guests, but all of the sniping about politics is really turning me off this podcast. I wish you the best, but I'm afraid I won't be listening anymore as it seems both co-hosts seem to find it impossible any reasonable person might have a different point of view and can be quite scornful.

Or go back on your podcast app to June 26, 2016 and find "Shorts: Encounters with Strangers"

  12. I would like to be a guest on your podcast. What is the best way for me to send you my topic/theme and proof I am just strange and not crazy?

  14. I discovered Strangerville last Spring during the beginning of the pandemic. Never listened to a podcast before. Well, I was immediately hooked. The problem is that I went back thru the archives and I listened to EVERY podcast available, one right after the other. It was when I finished listening to all the previous ones that I suddenly realized, you only do one a week. ONLY ONE! I had to wait 7 days to hear another Strangerville podcast! I suppose this is what withdrawal feels like to an addict. I can't get enough of Strangerville. Help!!!
