Swine Flu Christmas

It's a world record. The video from last Thursday's show at The Porch is up on Youtube and available for your viewing pleasure. Or displeasure. Or to your great frustration. It depends on how you feel about it. The point is, it's available and you can watch it if you want.

A big thanks, again, to Ms. Jolyn Metro, for filming this thing.

Many of you have wondered exactly where Lohan came from and I don't know whether I've ever really explained it on this blog. So this video may answer some of those questions. It will probably also answer some questions about me that you never wanted to know.

Merry Christmas.

  2. There are absurdities everywhere - not all see them tho, and even fewer talk about them - thanks

  3. Nooooo...the internets is too slow to watch this! My Christmas wish list has only two items on it of equal value: (1) world peace and (2) faster internet in Palau soon so I can enjoy this blog to the fullest!

  4. I was watching this at 1 AM, which is a bad idea because I can't burst out laughing like I want to or else I'll wake up my roommate. So thanks for the suppressed giggles. :)

  6. I like how you added "Ms. Jolyn Metro" since someone confused her with a him in the last post. Hehe

  7. I laughed so hard I cried. Especially at the Jenna texts. I'm going to be laughing at Edgar Allen Pope for a long time.

  8. Okay, I think your going in a cup story beats my going in a cup story, but only because it's funnier. My husband and I had just finished our nightly devotionals when my water broke. So, I got cleaned up and went to the hospital. I have never heard of this, but my water KEPT breaking over and over again.

And the nurse was all like, "Well, we want to make sure you're really in labor, so pee in this cup." I was like, "My pants are drenched with amniotic fluid, and you're not sure I need to be in a hospital?" But, I took the cup, went to the potty, and every time I put the cup in position to pee in it, my water broke again. I finally went back to the nurse with a cup of amniotic fluid and told her my water wouldn't stop breaking long enough for me to pee in her cup. She looked very disappointed in me, but she just sighed and told me to never mind. She still made me wait in wet jeans for another 30 minutes before I was admitted to the hospital. (Okay, in all fairness, I know she didn't personally put up barriers to my being admitted to the hospital. She still didn't have to act so let down that she couldn't get my urine.)

  10. I just finished grad school finals. And they were hard, but you just made me feel a whole lot better about my finals. I was not sick, just majorly sleep deprived. No big deal at all in comparison. :) Also, I love how you have such a great sense of humor about this. It's SO funny but also sounds so awful!!
