Pictures from my Phone & Weekly Distractions

I haven't laughed as hard as I have this week reading all of your interactions on Imzy since [insert a funny thing]. I got an email from the Imzy people today, telling me that our Community there is "by far the most vibrant one" on Imzy. And I'm super proud of us for going three full days so far without getting kicked out of the place, like I imagine will happen when we finally have our in-person family reunion in our Snuggies and matching June Snapple t-shirts.

You guys. They aren't kicking us out. THESE PEOPLE LOVE US! If we weren't hipsters now, we would be so excited about this popularity. But, like, we don't even care. We were popular before anyone even knew who we were.

And now, your Pictures & Distractions:
Teddy thinks he needs glasses but really he just needs a hair cut around his eyes.

We wandered to Zion this weekend. This is near the top of Angel's Landing.

Hidden Canyon with Anna and Emily. There was a cliff one foot to the other side of us.

Hidden Canyon.

Hidden Canyon.

This was a lot scarier than it looks.

This was horrifying.

Hidden Canyon.

Crap to distract you from whatever you're supposed to be doing:

My Survivor recap for the week.

Rent a chicken. Thanks, Samantha.

A 6-year-old auditions with screamo. Thanks, Judy.

Someone showed me the Mad TV 3 minute meal sketches this week and I nearly died. How had I not seen this before?! (NSFW, Language)

This one is even better. (NSFW, Language)

UK asks Internet to name a vessel. Thanks, Krishelle.

13 everyday things we take for granted. Thanks, Krishelle.

It was national puppy day this week! Thanks, Brian.

A dog's maternity photo shoot. Thanks, Brian.

Travel photos are better with dinosaur toys. Thanks, Karen.

Please join us on Imzy, the Facebooks, and wherever else we are. Instagram? Twitter? I don't even know anymore.

  1. You were popular before popularity was invented. I'm really still concerned about making sure Imzy has a company wide policy requiring the +zy name change mandatory. Kaelazy is on board with it.

  2. The banana split is almost as good as the Dan Aykroyd SNL classic Julia Child skit. One of my all time favorites!

  3. I think you should contact the rent-a-chicken people. Have some weird fun, Eli style.

  4. Boooo. I tried joining Imzy the first day you posted about it and they still haven't confirmed my invite. :/ Also your hair looks flawless.

    2. Wait a second. I know a Liz Lord. Is this the Liz that I met at Death Ray?

  6. I hate to be *that* guy, but you used to put NSFW labels on vids with language. The Mad TV one was all fun and games, at least my kids thought so... until the F-Bombs started flying! I love Stranger because I've never read or seen anything that makes me uncomfortable, I'd love for it to stay that way! Pretty please? By the way, your hair is especially on point this morning!

    1. Yikes! I've destroyed your children! I didn't remember any language but it might have been because I was laughing so hard that I couldn't hear anything after a while. Thanks for the heads up. I'll edit now.

    2. Thank you, Kina! I actually clicked on it to open in another tab and then kept reading and saw the NSFW label and quickly closed the tab. Three of my children (ages 3 through 7) were in the room. I'm so glad you didn't destroy them!!

You walking across that log actually does look really scary. The world would be a sad place without Stranger and Eli McCann.

  7. Whenever anyone said "Aaralyn" in the AGT video, I kept hearing "Annelid" as in WORMS!

WHO WOULD NAME THEIR KID AFTER A WORM!!!

  9. I've got a really bad fear of heights, so I found those scary hiking pictures even more disturbing than Tami. Thanks a lot, Eli. My therapy bill is in the mail.
