Pictures from my Phone & Weekly Distractions

Mr. Duncan Doodle has been doing this thing where he starts following me around as I'm getting ready for work because he senses that I'm about to leave him. And he makes himself look as pathetic as possible, which works in persuading me to stay home a little longer exactly 125% of the time.

I never thought I would find myself in a place where I was only the second best manipulator in the house.

And now, your Pictures & Distractions:
Caught spyin' on The Perfects.

It is impossible not to love this animal.

  1. Mr. Doodle's tongue is ridiculously long.

    1. That good because of all the lickin' he likes to do. Especially on my face at 5:00 in the morning.

  2. Eli, how many of those "most dangerous" countries have you visited? A few at least, I think.

    1. 3/20. I should mention, too, that I have some qualms with the list. The three or four places where I have felt the least safe are not even on it.

    2. Where did you feel less safe?

The only country I've been to on that list is Kenya, but I felt safer there than in India.

    3. I think the least safe I have ever felt traveling was at the Jordanian/Israeli border. Belize City was another one. There were a couple of spots in Peru as well that made me a little nervous. Nothing bad happened, but I was a little nervous in parts of Turkey.

I have never felt unsafe traveling in Ukraine, even during the war. But that may be because I'm familiar with it and speak the language. It might be a totally different experience if I was not used to the place.

    4. The three on the list I have been to are Ukraine, Guatemala, and Egypt. I never felt unsafe in Guatemala, but I only passed through Guatemala City and I wonder if that place is why Guatemala made the list. I was pretty comfortable in Egypt as well. That was back in 2008 though so maybe it has changed in the last decade.

  3. Good thing I decided to read about the most dangerous places to visit since I'll be going to Egypt in about 3 weeks. Should I pray to Tami for my safety or to the Queen of Colors? I just don't know.

    1. The Queen of Colors is only capable of unspeakable evil and Tami is only out for herself. I would recommend seeking the guidance of Leotrix, Trixy Meowman, or Oprah.

  4. Enough with the dog pictures. Sorry.
