Video Proof that we Sometimes Get Out

During the course of the last year there have been a bunch of videos I have wanted to record and share with you. But since I live in Palau, the land where the Internet goes to die, sharing these videos has been almost completely impossible. This is frustrating beyond anything I can explain to you.

Do you know how hard it is to carry the burden of being the only person in the world who has seen Daniel's 1920s flapper girl dance?

Fortunately when K-Shell went back to the United States of America she took a bunch of pictures from my camera with her (I'm not exactly sure how this was possible but I think it involved dark magic) and what she took apparently included some videos. She just informed me that she did what the kids are calling "upload" with these videos to what the kids are calling "the youtubes." So, now outdated and completely out of context, here are three mildly entertaining short videos for your Wednesday.

I know that you can usually have the video show up in the blog post itself (importing?) but again thanks to the Internet problems in Palau, I can never seem to get that to work here. So you'll have to click the links below. Sorry if this ruins your whole life.

The first video was taken on our hike with the church kids up to the German Lighthouse, which I told you about last month.

The second video was taken at Jellyfish Lake.

And the third video was taken on one of our hikes to a waterfall. I'm not exactly sure what is on this video since I can't watch it now, but I'm 200% certain that both Daniel and I should be embarrassed about it.

  3. I was really hoping that one of these videos contained Daniel doing a flapper girl dance. But these videos were still pretty enjoyable :) Thanks for sharing!

  4. I particularly enjoy when you reenact the typhoon (a totally normal thing to do by the way) and the youth all just stare. I'm pretty sure every creative dance I do at girls camp is appreciated by the YW the same way. Obviously kids these days don't understand true art.

  5. OMG! We demand the flapper-girl dance!!!
These were cool, hip, and down-with-it and all... but Flapper-Girl? We needs it!

  6. Is it creepy that I feel like I know you, even though we both know I don't know you?

  7. Hey homie,
I'm living I seoul right now, so if you want any....company? Or just an American to help you out during your layover, let me know. The airport is pretty nice, but hey, just putting it out there, I like to be a creep when I can.

  8. Eli - I believe the Q of C has been found. Or, is this you (#6) in a past life?

  9. Maybe it's just me...but Krishelle sounds almost disappointed when you "live" at the end of video #3. Maybe she's in cahoots with the Q of C, which wouldn't be surprising given her involvement with that crazy monstrous eye-ball thing. Just sayin'.

  12. So what I want to know is, what kind of camera do you have that lets you use it under water and not get damaged?
