Pictures from my Phone & Weekly Distractions

Duncan got neutered today and he's sitting next to me completely and totally high. Like, out of his mind high. He's been staring at his bone for 35 minutes without moving or looking away. Also, he seems kind of mad at me. And his eyes look so sad that three angels just lost their wings.

Dropping him off at that place this morning was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. And now I feel so bad for him that I can't look at him for very long because I start getting teary eyed. I keep wanting to say that today has been harder on me than it has been on him, but then I remember what it means to get neutered.

Duncan wins this one.

And now, your Pictures & Distractions:

My sister Krisanda found this circa 1997 picture of the two of us with our family dog, Winnie.

Found this week in one of my childhood journals.

Mr. Doodle, snuggling with me, the night before going to the neuter house.

Mr. Pants!

Crap to distract you from whatever you're supposed to be doing:

My discussion of reality TV for the week.

Something you don't want to know about spiders. Thanks, Jackson.

The sad truth about what happens when someone wins a game show. Thanks, Alex.

Do yourself a huge favor and watch at least the performance part of James Corden doing Beauty and the Beast. Thanks, Michael.

8 sad facts about that Big Mac. Thanks, Sammy.

The AMAZING Hazel Scott in 1943. Thanks, Leon.

The trailer for It came out. I wonder if Bob is going to be able to find a different five-year-old to subject to this film since I'm all grown up now. Thanks, Krishelle.

  1. Thought the movie trailer was for a cute kids' show given your tag line ... you didn't say it was for a Stephen King movie #scarredforlifenow #wasntscaredofclownsbefore

    1. You're in good company. Clowns might be even worse than spiders for me!

  3. Poor Mr. Duncan Doodle!

That trailer for IT looks so good I can't wait. But...yeah...I feel your residual pain from the childhood trauma. When I was 6, my aunts got a copy of Poltergeist on DVD and convinced my mom it was a really sweet family movie. They knew the truth. But they figured I should toughen up.

  4. Hazel Scott is my three-year-old's name! She is amazing, Thankyouverymuch. Oh, the piano lady was cool, too, but can SHE destroy a house in 4 seconds flat? Didn't think so.

  5. I can't wait for IT either. My childhood trauma was when I was 6. 3 TVs in the house and they all were on the same channel playing the Exorcist.
