All of the below photos of our wedding day (with the exception of the first one with Duncan in a tux) were taken by my very talented cousin Heather Wrigley.
Sky's sister had newspapers made with info about the wedding and how we met. |
We had a brunch and ceremony in the mountains, about 15 minutes away from my house. |
A bunch of family photos:
GMac! |
Matt made various signs for us to use throughout the day. |
Party favors made by my mother. |
Hannah Rose made our cake and it was incredible. |
And I made cookies. |
Years ago I clerked for Judge Greg Orme on the Utah Court of Appeals. He's still a close friend, and he did an excellent (and sometimes hilarious) job officiating our wedding. |
Sky's parents |
Bob and Cathie in the flesh |
This is Caitlin--the person who took all of the pictures with my phone (see last post). |
Hannah Rose |
Jolynnnnn in the houssssse |
Best friend from law school, Corey, telling stories. |
Childhood best friend Sam and his husband. |
Strangerville Live |
Our folk band, Whistling Rufus. |
Law school reunion. |
We had people sign quilt squares instead of a book. My sister is going to help us turn it into a quilt. |
Lavender throw. |
Our friend Ana owns a space called "Square Kitchen," the site for our evening reception. |
Our friend Mark (Copa Crew) made drinks for us. Not that we know what that is. |
Our exceptionally-talented friends Anna, Emma, and Emily made and served food for the reception. |
~It Just Gets Stranger
It's weird looking at the pictures from your reception and seeing a person that watched me grow up. I like to call this place we live in, Small Lake City.
ReplyDeleteTalk to me about the black umbrella you are standing under.
ReplyDeleteIt was raining off and on and parts of the patio were not covered. We were standing under an uncovered corner in that photo.
DeleteLove Love Love Love Love!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your day!
Beautiful! My favorites are the ones where you both are cracking each other up during the ceremony and Skylar with the cute little blonde girl (niece?). ADORABLE! Oh and the Wedding Post is fabulous! But now I'm tired even after just looking at all the people you mingled with, and I wasn't even there. Weddings are exhausting!
ReplyDeleteAre those the checkerboard cookies from Marbled, Swirled, & Layered? I love that recipe!
ReplyDeleteYES. Inspired by none other than The Suzzzzzzzzzzz.
DeleteGorgeous! All of it. I am a little miffed there weren't at least three outfit changes though. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is seriously one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen depicted. It's like something out of a movie. Movie stars and all.
ReplyDeleteI love this so much! Y'all deserve so much happiness. ❤
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Eli and Skylar! May you have a long and happy marriage full of laughter and love!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing. It was a beautiful wedding!
ReplyDeleteWas it raining only on you guys?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful photos. Congratulations!
Off and on. Fortunately not enough to ruin the day.
DeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous people, gorgeous decor, gorgeous food, gorgeous ceremony, and gorgeous dog. Congratulations on a gorgeous life!
ReplyDeleteAt gay weddings do they say "You may now kiss the groom?"
ReplyDeleteYou can't look at these photos and not feel the love that radiated off everyone who attended. What a special day!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of tossing lavender!
ReplyDeleteThis is so incredibly wonderful. Thank you for sharing. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteMy heart is so full of happiness for you both - what amazing, gorgeous photos. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and I look forward to seeing your posts now about old married life:) I will always remember your anniversary since you got married the same day my bestie got married! Their wedding was a big old hippie affair outside of Seattle with tie dyed wedding dresses and a marijuana bar (not that we know what that is) and observed by wedding guests, chickens, dogs, cats, and a pot belly pig at their farm. That's lesbians for you! HAHA. Seriously though - so happy for you and Skylar.
ReplyDeleteMeh. The cake was okay, I guess. It's no Four-Layered Caramel Cream Orange Zest Chocolate Mirror Glaze Cake.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning photos. Looks like a gorgeous venue surrounded by your super model friends and family.
ReplyDeleteEven more convinced Cathy is Catherine O’Hara.
Thank you. ‘‘Twas beautiful. ❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteI’m puzzled by the April date on one of the pictures. Thanks for sharing your day. Looking at these photos was the next best thing to being there. Much love and happiness.
ReplyDeleteI'm crying. SO much love and beauty.
ReplyDeleteThis post made me teary-eyed... I don't post a lot, but I found you when you were in Palau and have been a dedicated stranger since then. So to see you come so far and to see you so happy... I don't even have the words. Thank you for sharing your life with us. <3
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! It looks like it was a beautiful day for all of you (never mind the rain). You have some very photogenic friends and family. I'm sure you are both happy it's done and you can both relax and enjoy after all the stress of planning.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. But come on...not one picture of you two kissing? Pfff...
ReplyDeleteJK, all the best to the two of you.
