Pictures from my Phone & Weekly Distractions

It's been a long and exceedingly difficult week here in Salt Land. Maybe when my head stops spinning I'll tell you about some of it. But for now, let's just enjoy some pictures and distractions.

Happy weekend, Strangers of the world. Stay safe.

Walking home from work at 4:00 in the morning.

Brigham Young's house. He never invites me over anymore.

Pumpkins from the Farmers' Market.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the worst dresses that have ever existed.

Kurt, Hannah, and I took a spontaneous trip to a local theme park last Saturday to enjoy some Halloween festivities.

And that's when this happened. And truthfully, we hated every second of this. And there were a LOT of seconds of this.

Crap to distract you from whatever you're supposed to be doing:

Turn your website into gangster language. (Warning, this includes foul language). Thanks, Tanner.

Horror films for Mormons. Most of these will only make sense if you're familiar with Mormon culture. Thanks, Garrett.

Cat turned into helicopter. Thanks, MANY of you.

Famous brands updated with honest taglines. Thanks, Krishelle.

Someone help me meet this man. Thanks, Brian.

And finally, you look like you could use a little more Paul Simon (and this time with John Mayer). Thanks, Paul. You are the stars, the moon, and the sun.

Also, the Queen of Colors is now the "Biatch of Flavas"

By the way, I think the warning should say "EXTREMELY foul language."

    1. Oh Katie....I'm so sorry! LOL Those dresses ARE the worst! TRULY THE WORST. Maybe there should be an "accident" with said dresses....just saying. :)

  11. I always cringe when they do close up shots and you have to see those dresses. I guess when you're designing for all shapes and sizes, well... Those Mormon horror movies were hilarious. But seriously, why hasn't anyone made the Brigham Young: Vampire Slayer movie yet? Isn't it about time?! Everybody knows the whole Salt Lake Valley was infested with them back in the 1840s. I'm surprised there aren't more vampire floats in the Days of '47 parade. I guess those would be too violent for the kiddies. *sigh*

  12. Did you go in any of the haunted houses at Lagoon? I went in a few last year but this year I am trying to steer clear. The Zombie one they have this year was Prison Break last year and was rumored to be even scarier than Nightwalk.
