~It Just Gets Stranger
Umm I was just listening to your podcast and it cut out halfway through the shorty story. Did your friend get murdered by shorty in the motel room? I'm dying to know! :)
ReplyDeleteYes! We had a technical difficulty. It seems to be fixed now. Or, maybe we were just keeping you in suspense! DID YOU EVER THINK ABOUT THAT?!?! HMMMMM?!?!?
DeleteOh an artistic choice! Well the suspense kept me up ALL NIGHT and not to get lucky NOT THAT WE KNOW WHAT GETTING LUCKY IS CATHY! Worrying did your friend telling the story get murdered by Shorty? Am I going to get murdered by Shorty? Not that we know what murder is!
DeleteAnother great episode! Loved loved loved the story with you and Brianne talking to the homeless man. Thank you for this one!
ReplyDeleteThanks Molly! I am surprised they haven't offered me a full time position on Strangerville yet.
DeletePerhaps it'd be a conflict of interest to have you working on both the blog and in the office, but I personally enjoy your presence on the podcast.
DeleteI see Lee around SLC in the mornings. He is a really friendly guy. He actually cheered me up one day when I was having a horrible morning by just saying hello and telling me to have a good day. I'm glad you got to meet him.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was up in Jackson Hole a couple weekends ago we were talking to the staff of one of the whitewater rafting companies and they face a different problem. They are seasonal workers who can't afford rent in Jackson. Their boss has a dirt parking lot on one side of the building and he lets them park their car or RV there and then they live out of it for the whole summer. It's all a bit commune-esque. I think I could do it if it were just me but one of the river guides is a teacher from American Fork, in the summer he packs up his wife and kids and then live in their camper for three months. Now that's dedication.
ReplyDeleteThese episodes have been so consistently good! I really appreciate how you include both funny and more serious stories. It gives it a good balance.
ReplyDeleteFavorite episode. I loved Lee's interview. So compelling.
ReplyDeleteSue is an angel! Such a cool interview and such a good idea for an episode.
ReplyDeleteTypo in the second paragraph: Please take a listen and help us get the world out about Strangerville!
ReplyDeleteI believe you meant "word" not "world"
You are the wind beneath my wings.
